Ayuko Tanaka

Ayuko Tanaka was born in 1972 in Japan. She graduated from Fukushima University and Tokyo Designer's Art College. She lives and works in Tokyo where she is director at Picografika (Sayula Technology Japan), an electronic publishing label specializing in artistic Apps. She has illustrated a number of picture books such as “Marūshika to jūnikagetsu” (Marushka and the Twelve Months) and “Haritsukuri no hanamuko-san” (The Needle-maker Groom), both published by Kodansha. She also writes the texts for her own picture books. “Kaibutsu Tororu no mahō no shiro” (Monster Troll’s Magic Castle) published by Arisukan and “Fiōra to fukō no majo” (Fiora and the Unfortunate Witch) published by Kodansha are two examples.
