Nao Higano (soprano)

Nao Higano, soprano, was born in Chiba, Japan. She studied opera singing at the Seitoku University and then at the Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts in Bratislava. She has introduced herself successfully at many international musical festivals. Recordings of her concerts are published as CDs and are broadcast on radio and television in Europe. She won the Yamaha Foundation First Prize and First Prize at the Slovak Music Fund Concert Awards. She ia a permanent guest at the Slovak National Opera Theatre. In recent years she has gained insight as a painter and exhibits her works regularly. She is a member of the Association of Painters in Kroměříž , Czech Republic.

Noémi Ráczová

Noémi Ráczová was born in 1972 in Košica, Slovakia. She studied at the College of Education of the Comenius University and then continued her studies in graphic art at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design, Bratislava. Her first illustrations for children were published weekly in the Slovak magazine "Vasárnap" for more than five years.

Peter Sojka

Peter Sojka was born in 1982 in Bratislava, Slovakia. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratisvlava (prof. Ján Berger). In 2007 he proceded with his studies in Portugal at the Faculty of Fine Arts/ Universidade do Porto with the Erasmus Student Exchange Program. The artistic media which he uses is oil painting. He has participated in many group exhibitions in Bratislava, Vienna and Porto in Portugal. His solo exhibitions are: 2011 “So We Go, Again, Through the Window, One More Time, in Paradise”, Institute of Arts Humenné, Slovakia. 2010-2011 “Where is the Rubber Ball?”, Gallery GUBA, Bratislava, Slovakia. Peter Uchnár

Peter Uchnár was born in 1970 in Sobrance, Slovakia. After completing his studies at the High School of Applied Arts in Košice, he studied printmaking at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava (prof. Dušan Kállay). From 1999 to 2002 he taught at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava. He currently lives and works in Pezinok not far from Bratislava, where he is engaged in printmaking, painting and book illustration.

Philip Giordano

Philip Giordano (aka Pilipo) was born in 1980 in Celle, a small coastal town in Liguria, Italy, of a Philippine mother and Swiss father. After attending the Brera Fine Arts Academy in Milan, he studied illustration at the IED in Turin where he obtained a Master in Animation Techniques. In 2004 Philip was selected for the Illustrators Exhibition (Bologna Children’s Book Fair) and thanks to this visibility started working for children’s book publishers.
